In the same period she appeared in box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter. After that, she started to voice prominent characters in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's tiny screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland - a critically acclaimed crime drama that established Liu as an actress of the future.
