Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on the 6th of September 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer, and activist. Her biggest breakthrough came from Tina's role in Do the Right Thing (1989), followed closely by White Men Can't Hop (1992). Perez's performance in Fearless (1993) brought her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress as well as other accolades. Perez has starred in many films since that time, including It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) as well as another nomination for her role in The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). In addition, she has been featured in Broadway productions, including The Ritz and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season of the show, she was also a cohost on ABC's talk show The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. [11] In 1999, her mother was living in poverty at Woodside Houses when she died due to AIDS-related issues.
